A full bus visiting 5 gardens in the eastern townships.

This 1/2 acre garden is maintained by volunteers
from the Granby Horticultural Society.
Off the bus we made our way up the Allée to the far end of the garden.

The gardens are on the right.
and already look intriguing.

The mulch isn't simply nitrogen-leaching woodchips;
it comes by the truckload from the duck enclosure
at the Granby Zoo. It's enriched!
Irises and poppies together.

My lupin never grow so high:
must be the duck poo.
Tall eremurus bungei.


This is rosa kordes robusta.
Big impressive artemesia. Which kind?

Here they plant lady's mantle under
their peonies for support.
